Stay

Stay explores what happens when our attention to ordinary life changes. Working slowly through hyper-realistic graphite drawing, I attend to objects and quiet moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed, allowing meaning and value to emerge through sustained looking. The body is present without being depicted, revealed through traces of use, wear, residue, position and absence. A personal experience of uncertainty prompted a heightened awareness of the present, shifting the way I perceive the everyday. Through drawing, ordinary moments become anchor points for attention, presence and connection.
